Much thanks to Kah Shiuan for these pics:
Our band performing the theme song, "Put Your Gloves On". Actually, it's the same song as "Jump Around" by Planetshakers but we just changed the lyrics to fit the event.
Haha... Sharky's big debut!
Lovely dancers who danced while we were performing. We didn't even know that there would be dancers. Heh.
My group for the event; and they got sent to clean up the river bank.
People working...
Still working... Somehow those yellow-ish things in the black plastic bag look like those police tapes.
A portion of the people who participated in the event.
Performance time part deux.
Isaac cranking out the beatz.
Kah Shiuan's the guy on the right. Thanks, mate!
Uhm... There are a lot more pics but I can't possibly post them all cause it would cause massive lag and stuff. I think.

sorting my life
Argh crap. Form 6 IS tough. I've been trying to tell myself that Form 6 is not that difficult. It's not beyond me. As long as I clock in the hours to do my work, I will be fine.
Dang, I was wrong.
Here's a review of how I'm doing at the moment for each subject:
1. Pengajian Am
God bless Mr. Morgan.
2. MUET
Mdm. Indra's a good teacher and she doesn't knock on the weaker students eventhough their command of the language is not strong. Instead, she will build their confidence up. In fact, she will do just the same for those with pretty good English. Thank God. *Bleep*, I'm sick and tired of people telling me that my English is terrible and it's gonna ruin my confidence. Here's a shout out to Mdm. Presanna too for the MUET tuitions. They're really helpful to me.
3. Mathematics T (Paper 1)
Miss Neo's my teacher and she is very the good. Haha... All of her students will know why this is funny. Hehehe... Any-the-way, I find all my Math classes interesting and I really enjoy them. I mean, all the toilet jokes aside(I get it almost everyday), the things that I study in her classes are very interesting and challenging. It's not really until the point that I get jammed 100% yet. Yes, I get brain lapse or whatever you call them when I do Math homework but they're not that tough until I don't know what's going on. If I put in a little bit more effort into it, I'm sure it's not going to be one subject that will be the death of me. Somehow or rather, I have a feeling that I might eat those words one day. We'll see...
4. Mathematics T (Paper 2)
Mdm. Woon's my teacher. No, having a teacher with the same surname as you doesn't necessarily mean that you will get away with anything in her class. It actually means, in short, endless torturing. Haha... It's not that bad. It's just that somehow you will find yourself to be the butt of all jokes. Well, she's the only one doing it, anyway. Honestly, I'm starting to get really confused with this subject. More like I feel more stupid everyday. I didn't have as much trouble as I expected for graphs and charts in Chapter 5 but once I step into Chapter 6, Probability, I feel like crying. I don't understand ANYTHING towards the later part of the chapter! This is really bad for me cause I've been pressured to hand in my work and there is no way I could hand them in because I really don't know the things there. It's not the teacher's fault. Mdm. Woon's an awesome teacher and she really knows her stuff. Somehow, those probability stuff are just 'above' me. Gargh.
5. Chemistry
Miss Foo's my teacher and honestly, she rocks. I don't understand why all the other classes think she is very strict and almost unapproachable but my class thinks she's one of the coolest teacher ever! She's really experienced in what she teaches(come on... she even taught my MOM science back in Convent!). The problem, again, is in the student. Well, me. I feel dungu. Her notes are complete and whenever I study Chemistry, I understand and know why things happen the way they do but when it comes to exam, CRAP. I couldn't understand the question! Not surprisingly, I failed my first Chemistry test. Woo.
6. Physics
I refuse to comment on Mr. Hamdan. The thought of his Physics classes are just repulsive. Anyway, Miss Lileen Chan has been giving my class extra classes out of her own free time. I'm really thankful for her because whatever little help that she gives really help us in our Physics. Unfortunately, people don't treasure and make full use of what she does. Many students from my class didn't attend the extra class because they feel tired and just don't feel like going. This is ridiculous. Here, we have a woman, who took out time from taking care of her sickly mother to impart knowledge to us and you ungrateful people don't want to go just because you're TIRED? I hate to be unreasonable and I'm sure some of the people who skips her classes have reasons good enough to justify them not going to her classes on Friday. Classes that she spent her time away from her sickly mother to teach us.
Anyway, enough of ranting. Here's a peek of my study area:
Uhh... "Happy Schooling" or something.

a good musician
A good musician...
...is one who practices regularly,
...is one who keeps his chops up whether there's a gig or not,
...is one who never stops learning,
...is one who is well prepared to gig at any given time,
...is one who is able to work with other musicians,
...is one who respects other musicians,
...is one who is honest and true with himself,
...is one who is humble,
...is one who plays for a song and not have a song played for him,
...is one who knows his roles in a band well,
...is one who is responsible,
...is one who loves music.
Yes, it's not easy to be a good musician but I want to be a good musician.

glam
The Eden's Gotong-royong gig was awesome. Playing in front of hundreds of people is really a different experience and I really thank God for the opportunity. It's cool.
But.
I went home and I couldn't move both my calves and my left arm's botched. So, I thought that was due to exhaustion and promptly went off to sleep and rest. Woke up the next morning feeling alright already and later at night, I tried to pick up the bass again and clean it a little. The moment I tried to play it, my left hand, which is the fretting hand felt as if it's gonna come off. As if a nerve's been pressed down and the muscle just cramped to oblivion. I had a bit of that feeling when I was playing on Sunday but I ignored it and continued playing. Still, it hurted so bad and after reading some articles online, it could be tendonitis caused by bad playing technique(which is very possible considering I didn't have any formal lessons) or lack of exercise(which isn't very possible cause I've been playing for 4 years and this is the first time I'm experiencing this kind of pain).
So, I went to see the doc and he said that it's probably a pulled muscle and hopefully nothing serious. Phew. He gave me some MEDS to take and I'm told to rest that arm of mine from playing for a while. C'mon... honestly, how many bassists do you know who take meds when they play?! Ridiculous. Haha..

Lukas Rossi - Creep
I was channel surfing on one of my rare "TV-luvin'-days" and I came across this Rockstar: Supernova show on Star World. I will usually skip through these kind of shows(Yi Wan can testify) but I decided to watch it anyway because I heard the bassist for the house band rocks and he played for James Blunt's album. So, I really wanna check him out. Through enough, it's that bassist BUT something else in that show really caught my attention.
I watched how these future 'rockstars' prepare themselves for each week's elimination/competition and this guy, Lukas Rossi chosed the song 'Creep'. The show showed how he practices this song and he keeps going out of tune and screetch all the way. And of course, he was swearing and cursing all the way(hey, it's a show about ROCK N' ROLL, after all).
Then came the competition day, he looked so tense/quiet. Below is a video of his performance:
HE ROCKS.
I really hope he will win this competition and even if he doesn't I will want to check out his future musical endeavours. Boy.

amps
I saw this Ashdown Five Fifteen bass amplifier priced around RM980 at Lemon's Musical Store the other day. It looks like this:
Link: http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.asp?ID=82
I tried it out and boy, I love that sound! One cool part about it is that it's 100watt and that's about 70w more than I have right now with my Samick SA15.
I would totally get this amp if I have the dough and I could sell off this practice amp of mine. Alright, guys... That's it. I'm selling this Samick of mine for RM300(price negotiable) since I got it for RM450(new) and it was never played outside and only used at home as a practice amp. I have for about 2-3 years and NEVER once have I had any problem with it; tonally. It's not dinged as far as I know and being made in Korea really helps to ensure that it's built sturdily.
Anybody interested in my Samick? Do contact me. :)

faith
"You faith does not depend on what you do and where you go. If God's in your heart, He's in YOUR HEART; no matter where you are. Keep that in mind. It will be hard and people will say things. Who cares what others are saying?! It is what's in your heart that matters most."
It's not about me.
It's not about me.
It's not about me.
It's not about me.
It's not about me.
It's not about me.
It's not about me.
Sigh.
But hey, at least I found the words that I've been searching for. Thanks, bud!

catch-22?
"I totally dig Jesus... but it's his fan club that I hate"
"You people are always together with yourselves only and talk about Christian things"
"You all never mix around with us at all"
Hmm... I really don't know what to say in reply to non-Christians(my school mates, especially) when they talk to me about this.
Next year will be my last year in school. I really don't want to mess things up and give peple a skewed view of Christianity. I will have to try my best and do the right thing.
Yes, the right thing in God's eyes.
And oh, I won't be going for W@P this year because of ELS' Farewell Dinner. Cheng Yee and Daniel too.
