More to come in the future. Stay tuned.

sea-monkeys II
As promised, I dumped in the eggs today after church and these little buggers hatch instantly. I have to leave these little buggers alone till the 5th day and THEN the feeding starts. I think by then those stuff would be a lot bigger already since they are really really tiny at the moment and one can't see much right now. They are probably the size of the period at the end of this sentence. Yeah, it's that small. Anyway, bring on the pics!

Here is the aquarium 24 hours after the water purifier's been added. They look the same as before but the water does smell funky. Like... salt.

BEHOLD! Le Eggs.

Blah... blah.. blah.

I'm not sure if these are suppose to be the eggs cause they look like the contents of Packet 1.

Ah, well. What the heck. Off it goes into the aquarium.

It looks a bit greenish and murky at first.

After a while and a little stirring, IT IS ALIVE!!!
*cue the Frankenstein theme*

sea monkeys
I went to JB with my family yesterday and like all little kiddies, I got excited with the prospect of going to Toys 'R Us. I tell you, never in my life have I got so excited and nostalgic about all these toys in my life. I see all these little Batman figurines and they reminded me of the one my mom bought me years ago(it's in my room, still). That aside, I also a kickass Darth Vader mask that one can wear and change ones voice to that of Mr. Darth "I-can-kick-your-butt-faster-than-you-can-say-'Yoda'" Vader. It was so awesome. All that for RM189.00. Hmm...
I also saw a couple of Star Wars die-cast metal action figures that are poseable and comes with a display case. Guess what? Mr. Darth "I-can-still-kick-your-butt-faster-than-you-can-say-whatever-you-want-to-say" Vader got a display case of his own too. And it's going off the shelves really fast. All that for RM89.00. Double hmm...
I took my brother along for him to bask in the joy and wonder of toys all around him(yes, he wants EVERYTHING... SO DO I!). Then we came to this section that sells Sea-Monkeys. They looked super-cute(no, you did NOT just hear that from me) and they come in all sorts of different 'aquariums'. From the simplest(and cheapest) Ocean Zoo to Deep Sea Pirate Ship to Sea Monkeys in Mars. Really really awesome. Since I'm with a kid, all things awesome such as this would defiinitely excite a kid(not to mention another big kid too). My brother bugged me for quite a while saying he really really really wanted it but my mom won't let saying it's too expensive... they die fast... yadda... yadda.. yadda.
Like all obedient children, Yi Wan and I went and bought it anyway. :D Turns out that Sea Monkeys are not quite that easy to grow. Maybe my little science brain tells me that I HAVE to take of these little buggers with all the science theories in mind(temperature, density, gravity, plasma cannon, rocket fuel, nuclear reactor...) and they looked tedious and boring. So, I went on and tried to look at things through the eyes of a six-year-old.
Today's the first day and as the days go by I will document them here. Anyway, for the first day, all we have to do is to clean the aquarium and add the water purifier to prepare the medium for the little buggers to hatch.

The package.

The contents of the package. As you can see... this thing even comes with MANUALS(note the 'S'). According to the manual, this thing is guaranteed to live up to 2 years if taken care of properly. Well, it better be considering how much this thing costs!

Packet 1 is the Water Purifier(you'll see it in detail later. Packet 2 contains eggs whereas packet 3 contains food for the little buggers(I refuse to call them monkeys).

First, fill the water till it touches the tip of the highest magnifier.

Use a scissors to cut the packet open since it's sealed air-tigh. Ripping it will just spill everything everywhere and we don't want mess, right? These things look like salt to me. They probably are. What salt, I don't know.

Note to self: Do not drink the water from the aquarium from now on.

Stir for as long as it takes until it dissolves completely in the water. Then leave it aside somewhere facing the North window(no shit, that's what the manual says) for 24 hours.
Till tomorrow after church, folks!

flipping mad
I am flipping mad at myself right now. I am sick again. Yes, I have sore throat again. And Hulk mad, HULK SMASH!!! Mich have a decorative medical record and I think I'm starting to be able to understand how she felt when she used to fall sick day after day back in 'those days'.
So... yeah. If Dr. House is addicted to Vicodine, I'm addicted to Dequadin. At least there's a '-din' some where between the words.
When I'm sick, I would think about the kids in school tomorrow. :-/ I think I'm addicted to seeing Wilson in school(in a totally teacher-student way). I know I'm just 'some guy' in the school but I get most of the humour in my day off these kids. They are wonderful. Really.

that weird feeling
Now that the whole SPM 2005 hooloo-baloo is over, I must admit that I have a strange feeling inside me.
Alright, let's be honest; my results may be pretty good but it's not terrificly impressive. But my parents are pretty darn proud of it(well, it's either they really mean it or they're really good actors) and I know deep inside that it was my best and it's the best results for me, ever.
But why am I kicking myself in the head over the results sometimes? Could it be the Melancholic in me wanting to burst out?
Seriously, what is wrong with me?
Word, word, word, word....and word.

and I will honour my God
God is good, all the time!
My heart is still beating so fast after what happened less than an hour ago. Here's my story:
After I got home from church band practice, my dad asked me to go out and buy some stuff for him cause it's Chap Goh Mei(15th day of Chinese New Year) tomorrow. So, being the very good son I am, I went. I took my eldest sister along for the errand. There were lots of cars and I had to park near the stalls to drop my sister off. Since I'm in front of some dude's stall, I tried to be nice by turning off my lights(NOTE: BAD IDEA! I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN!). After my sister got back on, I forgot all about the lights and that's when terror strikes. There were lots of cars and I signalled out; totally forgotten about the lights.
Once I reach the round-about at Jalan Lambak, two policemen in bikes came to my side and signalled me off the side. Then I realised that my lights weren't on. SHOOTS. My heart sank and I quickly ran through my head what I want or should say and immediately thoughts of me bribing these two men with the mere ringgits in my wallet would be the best idea came straight in.
If you're reading this thinking this would be a happy ending cause I didn't bribe; then I'm sorry because you are right! :p Anyway, here's how our conversation went:
*winds down the driver side window*
Police 1 : Keluarkan lesen.
K.Chai : Okay.
Police 1 : Awak tahu tak lampu kamu tak buka tadi. Bahaya, tahu... Nanti kena langgar baru tahu.
K.Chai : Ahah... Maaf, encik. Saya punya salah, encik.
Police 1 : Kalau macam ini, saya mesti saman awak. Awak punya lesen ialah P, tahu tak? Kalau saya saman, awak akan kena demerit. Awak faham tak?
K.Chai : Saya faham, encik. Saya punya silap, encik.
Police 1 : Awak faham tak maksud demerit? Kalau saya saman awak sekarang, nanti bila awak hendak tukar lesen ke lesen penuh JPJ tak akan kasi. Nanti awak kena ambil semula lesen awak. Jadi macam mana? Nanti awak pula susah.
K.Chai : Apa boleh buat, encik? Dahlah saya bersalah, encik. Saya punya silap, encik. Maafkan saya, encik.
Police 1 : Apa boleh buat? Kalau 'you' mahu, kita boleh bawa berunding. Kalau 'you' mahu bercerita boleh cerita sekarang.
K.Chai : Macam ini, encik. Tadi saya kena hantar kakak saya pergi beli kek. Jadi, saya pun henti depan gerai orang sekejap. Jadi saya pun letak kereta saya di depan gerai dan tutup lampu saya. Situ pun banyak kereta; jadi saya pun fikir pasal nak keluar dan terlupa tentang lampu saya. Saya punya silap, encik. Saya patut bayar saman itu.
Police 1 : Tapi kalau macam itu nanti awak susah. Awak betul tak mahu berunding? Jadi saya kena saman kamu-lah.
*walks away*
*Police 2 approaches*
Police 2 : Okay-lah. Macam ini, senang cerita. Awak belanja kita dan kita lupakan sahaja.
K.Chai : Saya betul tak boleh bagi-lah, encik.
Police 2 : Awak hanya perlu belanja minum, sahaja! Takkan tak boleh?
K.Chai : Saya betul tak boleh bagi. Saya pun dah tak ada duit. Kek ini dahlah mahal *laughs*. Tak boleh, encik. Saya tak boleh bagi.
Police 2 : Aish...macam ini saya kena saman 'you' lah.
K.Chai : Saya punya silap, encik. Maafkan saya. Saya tak boleh bagi, encik. Saya Kristian. Betul tak boleh.
*Police 1 and 2 stares at me*
*returns me license*
Police 2 : Lain kali jangan buat lagi.
K.Chai : Terima kasih, encik. Maafkan saya, encik.

*winds up the window*

it takes one to understand the other
I'm so awfully ill now that I have missed school and painting today. And then to make things even more flowery and sweet, my installation of Windows decided to crap itself in the pants and corrupt all the 'important' drivers in the comp. What happens when these drivers fail is that, one by one, each hardware in my comp will start to fail. One after another. In the end, you will get one stupid lump of chips and electronics with no working CD-ROM or whatever.
What to do? Send them to the PC maintainance guy and he had to do a full reformat of my harddisk. Here I am, all sick and heaty, trying to reinstall all the system utilities that I need(and the music too!).
*hit his head on the table repeatedly*
And let's not forget that Streamyx hasn't been working for the 4th day already.

childhood hero
Bah, I give up. I'm not used to writing stuff like that. Anyway, as I was saying, there is this guy that goes by the name of Tony Stark that owns a multi-billion-dollar company called Stark Industries. This man is the man responsible for all the weapon's research that's been going in the country and literally billions of dollars have been poured into the company's research of the 'repulsor technology' by the United States government(Aiyah.. in the Marvel Universe lah). Out of it comes a device, that is actually a full suit of armors, to "test-pilot the future". To some, it is considered as the war-machine of the future that will either build or destroy the world. To some, it is....

fine... fine... here's one.
1.
Roses are red,
Violets are blue;
Some poems rhymes,
But this one don't.
2.
Do you ever wonder why Yoda(the little ancient alien from Star Wars) never got married?
Because instead of saying, "I do", it said, "Do I?"
3.
One day, a father and son went fishing in a lake. While they were rowing their boat towardsthe middle of the lake, they saw another boat capsizing. Being the kind man the father is, he bravely jumped into the lake to safe the survivors of the capsized boat. The survivors were so grateful and said, "Oh kind man, thank you for saving our lives! How can we EVER repay you?". The kind father promptly said, "It's okay...we're in the same boat..."
4.
One day, an aeroplane was overweight. It has a huge rock, a brick house and a refridgerator in it. Which one of those 3 things should the plane dump off to lighten the load?
The refridgerator because it has an elephant in it.
5.
Why did the koala falls off the tree?
It was hit by a falling refridgerator.
6.
Why did the 2nd koala falls off the tree?
It was stapled to the first koala.
7.
Why did the 3rd koala falls off the tree?
It thought the first 2 koalas are playing a game.
8.
Why did the 4th koala falls off the tree?
Peer pressure.
9.
Why did the 5th koala falls off the tree?
It was hit by another falling refridgerator.
10.
Why did the boy fall off the bicycle?
It was hit by 5 falling koalas and 2 falling refridgerators.

chapter 1
Everybody lies.
You, me, they, he, she, it, everybody lies. You may not realise it but as long as your response to a question, be it verbally or non-verbally, carries an intent to decieve someone, it is a lie.
There is a shocking reason to why people lie: They lie because of their intent to lie to themselves. Unbelievable? Think again. People love to hear something that they like. So, in order to please themselves, they lie. You know what I'm is right because that is what's in your mind when you lie. You want things to go your way and therefore, you lie. So that you will be able to believe that so-called "truth" that you want to believe in. So, in a way, lying = self-deception. I will go more into that later as I explain what people lie for.
There are plenty of examples written in the book on the paradoxes of lying. For example, a mother tells her son, John, not to lie about the fact that he broke the priceless Ming vase while playing and yet the moment the pastor called to ask for donation, the mother tells John to tell the pastor that she isn't in just to avoid the pastor because she doesn't want to give donations for the new church steeple. This proves the point of however how much we try to enforce the point that lying is bad, people in the end still practice lying be it verbally or non-verbally.
Chapter 1 of "LIES! LIES! LIES! Psychology of Deceit" also talks about the different kinds of lies told by different people for different reasons. People lie for sexual gratifications, acceptance, etc..etc.. If I elaborate more on that, I may get sued for plagarising Dr. Ford's book. To summarise this whole chapter, I shall quote the summary of Chapter 1 directly from the book:
"Lying and self-deception permeate all aspects of human life and social interactions. Societal messages about deceit are often contradictory; we teach our children how to lie effectively and encourage others to lie to us even as we condemn lying as a vice. The developement of acomprehensive psychology of deceit must consider these paradoxes in addition to the biological, intrapsychic and societal influences on the process of human deception."

reading
I am currently reading a book titled, "LIES! LIES! LIES! The Psychology of Deceit" by Charles V. Ford, M.D. I think it's a good book and I will try to put up a summary of each chapter after I'm done with them so that I will not forget what I've learned. I'll post the summary here, of course.

want to know why it's you and only you?
Because there is only you.
That is literally all that the author can think of after the author struggled with himself trying to find the words to write a long post about the author's feelings for 'you' after a long time. The author finds it redundant trying so hard because the author really don't think that 'you' would feel the same. The author hopes that 'you' will prove the author wrong .

end of 2005
2005,
It's been an interesting year and thank you for all the 'wonderful' lessons in life that I had the opportunity to learn the hardway.
See you, 2005.
Love,
me.
